2011

The trend of mixed tendencies described in 2010 continuue in 2011. Each painting brought small discoveries enriching my experience. The competition between colder, draft-design representation, ocasionally aproaching decorative values and the warmer painterly representation is still present. It made me thinking to belong to two different worlds, neither one having a total hold of me. Should I rationally supress one of the tendencies? I did not know. I was not interested in a theoretical purity, I cherished more the fidelity of presenting reality with its conflicts, doubts and aspirations. I just needed more time, more paintings and was sure to see how a natural selection would take place, the stronger side would win and supress the other. Mean time it seemed comforting to jump from one representation to other.
